Saint James’ Church is the oldest surviving church building in Sydney. It was built in 1824 and has been part of the Christian church scene in Sydney for nearly 185 years. When you visit us you will find that our worship style is a bit different to the predominant style of Anglican worship in the Sydney area. We make use of robes and we use incense in some of our worship. We also have a very fine choir that sings and leads the worship at the 11.00am Choral Eucharist with beautiful settings that are often musically complicated.
